ESGE Fellowship Grants

Fellowship grants are offered to endoscopists-in-training and fully-trained endoscopists wishing to learn highly specialised techniques at officially recognised ESGE training centres. Two types of modules are offered to grantee:

  • Module I: "Observational Training with Experts"
  • Module II: "Training with Experts"

ESGE Individual and Dual Members up to 40 years old are eligible to apply for Fellowship Grant.

Timeline

  • November 15, 2022: Application process opens
  • June 1, 2023: Application deadline
  • August 31, 2023: Notification of winners

Module I – "Observational Training with Experts"

Grantees receive training on basic steps and specific techniques. The duration of this grant is up to a maximum of four weeks. Hands-on training is not offered in this module.

Through a mutual cooperation, ESGE and the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES) offer one grant, Module I, per year in an exchange programme. The selected ESGE grantee is assigned to one of the leading Japanese institutions.

Module II – "Advanced Training with Experts"

Grantees may apply for Module II after successfully completing a Module I grant. A recommendation from the Module I host is required. A duration of three months is foreseen for Module II grants. Grantees may expect hands-on training on specific techniques during this period.
