ESGE SOCIETY MEMBERSHIP

The ESGE represents national societies of endoscopy in Europe, the Mediterranean Rim and North Africa. One society from any of these countries is eligible for society membership.

Why become an ESGE Member Society?


Joining ESGE as a Member Society provides your organization with exclusive benefits, enhanced visibility, and opportunities for active participation in the European endoscopy community:


Influence and Participation

  • Each ESGE Member Society (one ESGE Member Society per country) holds one vote in the ESGE General Assembly, allowing direct involvement in shaping ESGE's governance and future directions
  • Your society members can be actively involved in ESGE guideline development or sub-committees, contributing to international best practices in endoscopy.
  • ESGE Member societies have the permission to translate ESGE guidelines, ensuring accessibility and relevance for your local community (in coordination with ESGE).


Increased Visibility and Promotion

Promotion of your society's annual event through:

  • Display of your flyers/programmes ESGE booths at ESGE Days and UEG Week (ESGE Learning Area).
  • Break slide promoting your annual society event during ESGE Days.
  • Announcement of your event in the ESGE’s e-Newsletter (reaching over 24,000 active subscribers) and Endoscopy Journal newsletter
  • Display of your event at ESGE online events calendar, widely accessed by endoscopists across Europe.


Collaboration & Shared Initiatives

  • Leverage ESGE’s platform to highlight your society’s activities via ESGE´s projects, such as Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month or other national initiatives.
  • Strengthen ties within the European endoscopy community through joint educational or scientific projects via the ESGE Travel Endoscopy Programme (TEP) :

ESGE Member Society fee and application


ESGE Member Society annual fee: € 350

In order for a society to become an ESGE member society, an official application must be submitted and the following documents included:​

  • Official letter of application​
  • The Statutes and Articles of the society
  • Composition of the Governing Board
  • If the society is not the sole national endoscopy society in the country of application, a list of any other national gastrointestinal endoscopy societies plus contact persons.

Application will be examined by the ESGE Governing Board and submitted for consideration to the next meeting of the Assembly of Delegates
