ESGE FELLOWSHIP GRANTS

Fellowship grants are offered to endoscopists-in-training and fully-trained endoscopists wishing to learn highly specialised techniques at officially recognized ESGE training centres.

As of 2024 (training in 2025), ESGE will offer an increased number of opportunities for “Observational Training with Experts” (former Module I) for a period of four weeks. Facilitating hands-on training (former Module II) has become increasingly difficult due to national legislations, which is why Module II will no longer be offered. Observational training at ESGE training centres is high in demand and the number of applications are showing a consistent growth.
As a result, ESGE now offers 35 fellowship grants per year, observational only. Opportunities for hands-on training are still available through other ESGE programmes, such as the ESGE Learning Area at ESGE Days and UEG Week and the ESGE Endoscopy Camp.

ESGE Individual and Dual Members up to 40 years old are eligible to apply for Fellowship Grant.

Through a mutual cooperation, ESGE and the Japan Gastroenterological Endoscopy Society (JGES) offer one grant, per year in an exchange programme. The selected ESGE grantee is assigned to one of these leading Japanese institutions.
