Place of EUS and ERCP in the Management of Biliopancreatic diseases Advanced Course 2026
SUMMARY
This course will be dedicated to diagnostic EUS, and to the role of endoscopy (ERCP, EUS) in biliopancreatic diseases, with a focus on the technical aspects of normal anatomy, indications for EUS, the technical aspects of EUS-FNA/FNB, potential complications, results, and therapeutic impact of this technique.
Educational methods:
- Lectures and live or pre-recorded operative demonstrations with interactive discussions between course participants and Faculty
- Supervised hands-on training on live tissue, ex vivo models and mechanical simulators
- Objective structured assessment of technical skills
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Provide the knowledge required to make progress in the field of endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) and ERCP
- Describe the technical steps which are used for diagnostic EUS and EUS-FNA/FNB, ERCP (bile and pancreatic ducts cannulation, stenting, and stone removal)
- Describe results and potential complications, and how to prevent them
- Practice on live tissue in order to give participants the technical capacity to improve their expertise
