Learning objectives for 6th Hybrid K.EN.T Endo-surgery course (hands-on training)

  • Appropriately apply the distal attachment cap to the endoscope
  • Appropriately mark the border of the lesion based on the findings from image enhanced endoscopy
  • Effectively perform dynamic and sequential submucosal injections to lift the target area
  • Effectively cut the mucosal layer together with the muscularis mucosae to expose the submucosa
  • Safely navigate the endoscope into the submucosal space
  • Effectively and safely perform submucosal dissection while performing prophylactic vessel sealing for large vessels
  • Appropriately locate the active bleeding point and perform hemostasis
  • Securely close perforations using endoscopic clips or suturing device
  • Appropriately deploy a traction device at proper locations to obtain effective traction
  • Retrieve the specimen with a retrieval net
  • Examine the resection bed and perform prophylactic vessel coagulation
  • Appropriately use endoscopic clips or suturing device for defect closure if necessary
  • Pin the specimen and indicate the orientation if necessary
