The Francophone Days of Hepatogastroenterology and Digestive Oncology are the Francophone congress of reference for diseases and cancers of the digestive system and the second European congress of the speciality in terms of affluence.
They are organized by SNFGE, the French National Society of Gastroenterology, in collaboration with the FMC-HGE, the French National Association for Continuous Training in Hepato-Gastroenterology.
Each year, the JFHOD brings together 4,000 delegates, including hepatogastroenterologists and oncologists, as well as digestive surgeons, pediatric gastroenterologists, anatomopathologists, researchers, radiologists, internists, medical students and more than 200 GIFE nurses.
Scientific sessions and continuing medical education sessions, organized with partner scientific societies, cover all fields of the discipline. Hepato-gastroenterology is one of the most extensive medical specialities including diseases and cancers affecting the esophagus, stomach, liver, bile ducts, pancreas, small intestine, colon and anus. It overflows widely in other areas of medicine: cancerology, surgery, nutrition, radiology, paediatrics, biology, pathology, genetics, nuclear medicine, immunology, virology, bacteriology and parasitology.
Each year, one or more themes are highlighted, a Francophone country and a European scholarly society are invited.
