ESGE Curricula Working Group new taskforces – call for applications
The ESGE Curricula Working Group invites you to participate in two new taskforces.
Endoscopic training in specialized procedures is a highly challenging endeavour. ESGE instigated the ESGE Curricula Working Group to develop standards for endoscopic procedures that require additional training beyond the core endoscopy curriculum provided in each country.
The ESGE Curricula Working Group does not address the issues of a generic endoscopic training that falls under the responsibility and authority of the national accreditation institutions and may differ throughout the different European members. ESGE strives to create guidance for training and assessing competence for more advanced endoscopy and often more invasive procedures, since these skills are generally acquired outside of or after the core curriculum of gastroenterology.
At this stage we would like to invite interested and motivated ESGE members to join one of two new ESGE Curricula Working Group taskforces dedicated to
- Bariatric endoscopy
- Endoscopic mucosal resection of LST colonic lesions.
If you are interested in participating in the development of one of these training curricula, please apply by completing the online form before January 10, 2020.
After January 25, 2020, the selected members will be notified, but we would like you to reserve already the date for the kick-off meeting that will take place on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 in Dublin, Ireland just prior to ESGE Days 2020.
We are looking forward to collaborating with you in these projects!
