ESGE Research Committee

The ESGE Research Committee aims to establish, discuss and promote clinical research studies in digestive endoscopy on a broad European level.

Aims:

  • To promote the importance of endoscopy research on a broad European level and beyond
  • To set priority areas for endoscopy research
  • To align research priorities with ESGE aim of improving the quality of GI endoscopy
  • To provide a framework to support individuals wishing to develop high-quality endoscopy research
  • To support collaborative international research
  • To build up a network of international collaborators to support individuals undertaking international collaborative research
  • To maximise opportunities for investment from gastroenterology, endoscopy and European Union funding streams
  • To build up a network of international collaborators to support individuals undertaking international collaborative research
  • To inform researchers regarding potential funding streams
  • To maximise investment in endoscopy research from industry
  • To review, evaluate and allocate ESGE research grants
