About ESGE Events
ESGE events are aimed at achieving the following goals:
- To promote the teaching and practice of gastrointestinal endoscopy
- To enhance and assist in the control of quality of endoscopic procedures
- To target their activities to any persons involved in endoscopic procedures
ESGE events are divided into THREE categories:
ESGE Organised Event
This category consists of initiatives that are organised directly by the ESGE (scientifically and financially) whether or not they are institutional.
ESGE Sponsored Event
This category consists of workshops organised by the ESGE together with third parties under the auspices of the ESGE. Conditions of collaboration are set out in the ESGE Bid Manual.
Application information on ESGE Sponsored Event
ESGE Endorsed Event
This category consists of events organised by third parties which are endorsed by ESGE. The event will be announced on the ESGE website, as well as in the journal Endoscopy. The ESGE logo can be used for promotional purposes and promotional material from endorsed events are displayed at ESGE booths. Endorsed ESGE meetings offer delegates a 20% reduction for registration. By granting this endorsement, the ESGE has no obligation to provide financial support. Endorsed meetings should not take place within two weeks of each other. Exceptions may be considered by the ESGE Governing Board in special circumstances.
