Summary	How to communicate complications, Pitfalls, My worst case, How to minimize complications, Patient-associated risk factors, Failure of technical equipment, The role of training. The participants shall learn the definition of a complication, how to communicate complications, to realize that misestimations of findings and misinterpretations exist, become aware of non-endoscopic and patient-associated complications, learn about possible failures of technical equipment and learn to minimize complications in different procedures like EMR/ESD, ERCP, capsule endoscopy, polypectomy etc. Finally the role of training will be stressed as well as future perspective in the prevention of complications given.
